Independent Community Access and Participation Training

SEES will support clients to access community activities in order to be part of their community. This may include supporting clients with travel training using public roads, traffic lights, pedestrian paths and crossings. Using public transports such as; trains and buses – using oyster/bus passes and debit card while on boarding. They will also have access to shopping which will give them the opportunity to use money while shopping, use their number skills, waiting skills while in the queue, pay at the till with minimal prompt or use the self-serve machines to scan item bought, make payment, collect change and receipt with minimal prompt. All these activities helps our clients to develop their independent living skills and helps them in achieving their goals in their local community.
